Five DUIs were issued in the first week alone. The last thing I want is to go through all the stress of this move and then have the GW get kicked out of Japan after only a few months. I'm not really sure what all it would take for that to happen, but it is something I worry about. That's NHK or Asahi TV I think for me.... I love that they put in the incident with the moped--which are the biggest dangers on the road on a daily basis; moral of the story, give them a lot of leeway because they don't comprehend relative motion or the stopping ability of an automobile...no one is going to win that battle. Stay away from them. I guess what people should take away from this is that it isnt just murders and rapes that annoy the Japanese--its the petty crimes that frustrate the locals and make more work for the police...
