Thanks to those of you sent me encouraging e-mails after my Hong Kong post telling me not to off myself, but don’t worry, it was never an option. I’m sorry I haven’t posted in a while, but I’m over my slump and I plan to post about 5 different things this weekend.
I’m probably going to waste a night and most of my day tomorrow by going to Roppongi, so I’ll make this short. I’m looking to expand FEWL to include others than just myself. I know I have a lot of regular readers and some of you seem to be pretty passionate about certain topics in the comments. So, why don’t blog with me? I’m looking for a few people, military, civilian, whatever, that live in Japan and are somehow related to the US military out here. I will ensure you are as anonymous as you want to be, and aside from a few ground rules, won’t try to censor any of your posts. I’ll give you an account on this site to give you the capability to post about topics concerning the Seventh Fleet and life as a SOFA member or military civilian here in Japan.
Let me know if you’re interested by sending me an e-mail with a sample post about…anything. It could be something about your time in Japan, yourself, the crap that goes on in the fleet…whatever. If I think you’d contribute to what I’m trying to do, then we’ll talk and work out a deal. I don’t make any cash from this site, so don’t expect this to be a paying gig. It will, however, give you a voice to address the issues that concern you and your fellow Americans out here.

Is there any chance of “The Wisdom of David P. Shepherd” making a comeback any time soon?
